TROUT
FISHING INFORMATION This
Patagonian land shows magnificent snowcapped mountains with brilliant
and warm summer days, their striking blue lakes and a low population enriches
the visiting angler with a feeling of solitude and relaxation, without
man´s impact on the environment and fishing. The grandeur of the
Southern Andes is visible from every fishing location and the waters they
supply are the clearest imaginable. These clear and cool streams are very
well settle of rainbow, brown and brook trout that abound here, and ensure
the region maintains its reputation as one of the worlds premier fly fishing
destinations. A week spent fishing with us is a week that certainly will
be one of the most memorable fishing experiences. Trust us and see by
yourself, it´s one of the best trips of anywhere in Patagonia .
ESQUEL FLY FISHING
REGION This region
offers a wide variety of quality fishing opportunities. Here in Esquel,
we sit on the edge of a transition zone. To the west lie the snow capped
peaks of the Andes and to the east the high desert. Driving from Esquel
in any direction will take through dramatically different fishing and
climate zones, from dense forested covered slopes with moist mountain
air to barren scrub grass plains and dry desert conditions. The snow pack
in the Andes provides the entire region with a consistent supply of clear
fresh water. Very few areas in Patagonia offer so many distinctly different
quality fly fishing spots than this in the Western Chubut Region. Some
of the fishing streams in this area are the famous spring creek Arroyo
Pescado, Rio Grande, Rio Chubut, Rio Corintos, Gualjaina, Willymanco,
Nant y Fall, and more.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The fishing package includes accommodations in nice lodges in the National
Park, and Esquel regions or cabins in the Patagonia Wilderness near the
fishing scenery. The lodges have double occupancy rooms with a private
bath, a really comfortable living, bar place, and a dinning room with
excellent service. The meals at the argentine custom, are prepared with
locally produced foodstuffs, serving tasty meats, pastas, vegetables,
fruits and good argentine wines. The Patagonia Wilderness program is for
anglers with less interest in luxury accommodation, anyway anglers will
have a full service delighting very good dishes in warm cabins with double
sleeping room and private bathroom.
