ACTIVITIES IN THE FOREST: THE IGUAZU FALLS AND THE FOREST

Our Eco-tourism and Adventure Rides have been offered since 1994 inside the National Park with a wide range of choices that go from contemplation to the maximum interaction with the environment.
Our purpose is to surpass the visitors expectations, especially of those who wish to get really close to this natural wonder, and those who seek adventure and want to experience new feelings.
And to best serve all, we have a very good structure and an excellent staff, positioned at different and strategic sections of the Park.

WHAT WE OFFER
Our activities aim to increase the appreciation of The Iguassu Falls, and show more than what the traditional circuits / trails can offer ( Higher Circuit, Lower Circuit, Devil’s Throat) The visitors can get a different perspective and experience new sensations and feelings. Furthermore,we make it possible for the visitors to actually interact with the falls, sail in its rapids, and feel its water in the skin.

THE GREAT ADVENTURE
The Great Adventure is unique, and combines the whole essence of the Iguassu National Park in one ride: the jungle and the waterfalls.It is offered daily every full hour, and the departures are from our Head Office or The Visitors Center.
It starts by entering the jungle from the “Sendero Yacaratía” trail with special transportation that allows a panoramic view of the environment along with experienced guides that give a lot of explanations as well as the legend of this spectacular place.
After an 8 km truck ride, we arrive at the Puerto Macuco Base, which is 100 meters away from the Infirmary and Service Station, and 100 meters of stairs ahead is the floating platform where the second part of this ride begins.
With motor-boats, we take visitors 6 km through the Canyon of the Iguassu River, until the falls, from these total, 2 km are river rapids. After enjoying the view from the calm side of San Martin Island we sail to the “Tres Mosqueteros” waterfall, at that point, the Brazilian and Argentinean sides and the Devil’s Throat can be clearly appreciated.After that, we sail along the shore of the island until we get to the most exciting part where we face the San Martin waterfall, a wonderful and unforgettable experience, for it’s the largest waterfall any motor-boat can approach safely.
The landing is at the base of the lower circuit where visitors reintegrate the trails.

ABOUT THE RIDE
Departures: every hour, from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm (winter) 5:45 pm (summer) .
Duration:1 hour.
Difficulty: 100 meters of stairs.The ride is restricted to pregnant women and people with physical / medical problems.

WE RECOMMEND
The protection of all personal belongings with the plastic bags that are supplied by our staff.

NAUTIC ADVENTURE
It starts and finishes at the end of the Lower Circuit, which is located in front of the San Martin Island. The ride is made with powerful motor-boats that pass through the Lower Canyon of the Iguassu River and around the island until the foot of the “Tres Mosqueteros” waterfall, where one can enjoy a spectacular and clear view of both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides, as well as the Devil’s Throat Fall.
Besides enjoying the beautiful panoramic view of both sides of the falls, we also get very close to the waterfall of San Martin Island, the biggest waterfall that a motor-boat can approach safely.

Departures: every 20 min., from 9:30 am till 5:00 pm (winter) and 5:30 pm (summer).
Duration:12 minutes.
Difficulty: 100 meters of stairs.The ride is restricted to pregnant women and people with physical / medical problems.

ECOLOGICAL RIDE
The ride starts at the Devil’s Throat with special boats projected for rivers with such characteristics. It is a silent, calm and totally illustrative ride that takes place in the Higher Delta of the Iguassu River, where its bank is seen in its clearest and most natural state.
The jungle, the sugar cane plantations and small branches of the river, shelter a wide range of fauna and flora. The 2.5 km ride is made in the calmest and most harmonic way: rowing Professionals that know the place better than anyone will revel secrets of that fauna and flora and show beauties that cannot be seen from the traditional trails, but only by those who go in this wonderful adventure.
The boarding for this amazing ride that puts the visitors in direct contact with nature is at the beginning of the trail and ends by going back to the Cataratas Station, where the traditional circuit of trails begins.

ABOUT THE RIDE
Departures: every 20 min. from 9:00 am till 4:30 pm (winter) and 4:45 pm (summer).
Duration: 30 to 40 min. (depending on the level of the water).
Difficulty: low, no restrictions.

FULL DAY
Special programs: This program offer the possibility of visiting the regular trails (The San Martín Island, higher and lower trails and The Devil’s Throat), from where our Eco-tourism and Adventure Rides depart.
It combines the Ecological Ride and the Nautical Adventure.

GREEN PASSPORT

DAY 1 - Arrival to Puerto Iguazu Airport and transfer to hotel. 03 nts of accommodation with breakfast

DAY 2 - Excursion to Iguazu Falls Argentinian Side. Boat Navigation to enjoy the Devil`s Throat

DAY 3 - Excursion to Iguazu Falls Brazilian Side (** Check VISA requirements to enter to Brazil)

DAY 4 - Transfer to airport
