RESTAURANTS

Oak Bar
The Oak Bar is a unique private room, an elegant and comfortable area that is an ideal to unwind and relax for pre- and after-dinner drinks. Located within the Palace building on the Piano Nobile floor, the 28-seat bar embodies a very "Club Style" ambience with its antique oak paneling, a wood burning fireplace, brown leather wingback chairs, and a terrace for up to six people, overlooking the magnificent garden. The original artwork complements the club feel of the bar.

The Oak Bar takes its name from its ornately carved oak paneling. The panels are made of European oak, and were specially carved in the 17th century to decorate a castle in Normandy, France. When the last owner of the castle died, his widow sold some valuables to Mr. Luis Duhau, who bought the panels and brought them to his Palace in Argentina.

The oak panels feature an extensive variety of carved designs, mixed styles and ages: colorful mouldings, lilies, Elizabethan-period medallions, and recurrent images of medieval legends, such as Saint George and the Dragon, and images of animals playing musical instruments. The over-ornamented style with flamboyant elegance, shapes and curves was typical of custom-made furnishings of wealthy families of that era.

Piano Nobile Salons
Located in the Palacio, these magnificent salons serve breakfast, small dishes, and elegant snacks throughout the day with special emphasis on afternoon tea. The rooms conserve their original painted “boisery” and offers a fireplace, and an elegant combination of low and high tables.

The magnificent outside terrace, accessible through both exits of the Piano Nobile Salons as well as the Oak Bar, enjoys magnificent views over the landscaped garden of the Palace. The total capacity for indoor dining is 43 seats; outdoor dinning area is 30 guests.


Gioia Restaurant
Situated in the Posadas building, Gioia Restaurant will offer spectacular views of the Palace and the garden. Service will be available throughout the day and an extensive seating area on its terrace provides for "al fresco" dining. The restaurant has a special feature in modern Italian cuisine. It serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. Light meals and snacks will be available during the day. Sunday brunch is served in the garden.

Spa Services
The Mapuches were a large and ancient Indian tribe, that lived in the south of Argentina. According to their tradition, in their own language, "Ahin" is the ritual ceremony practiced for honouring a guest.

An emotion, a philosophy, a state of mind, an inspiration coming from our history, the respect for people and the incredible world we live in were the concepts in designing the wellness centre and spa of PD-PHBA.

The hotel offers a 750 m2 / 8073 ft2 wellness centre and spa facilities within the Palace, featuring a "short course" (25 meter / 82 feet) indoor heated swimming pool and five spa treatment "suites" for indulging in holistic and beauty treatments (one wet suite, two standard suites and two spa suites with special bathtubs) as well as a cardiovascular fitness area. All of the spa suites have natural light with views into interior patios.

The spa will offer a unique spa menu incorporating the "Comfort Zone" line, an exclusive Italian brand in the field of product development for skin care.

The spa suites were designed with travertine marble floors and walls, "decap&eactute;" oak wood, and ground glass to communicate a sensation of purity, calm, and relaxation. The spa also offers complimentary bottled water, and fruit.

The fitness studio was designed around a technological concept: board wood and linoleum floors, mirrored walls, and frosted glass. It is equipped with the latest technology, seven cardiovascular machines (two bicycles, three treadmills, two elliptical), and seven isotonic machines. Locker rooms are fully equipped with rain showers, Jacuzzis, and saunas. Jogging maps, water, and towels are also available at the concierge desk.

The main white Italian "Calacata" marble staircase of the Palace leads to the Spa level, the Restaurant level, and the upper level of Piano Nobile.
