Activities for Adults

Portillo is a great place for adults, whether singles, couples or parents whose kids have gone off to play in the pool or game room. Adults really enjoy the camaraderie that develops between guests, and meals can often become social events: good food, conversation and laughs. If a quiet, romantic dinner is what you have in mind, there’s plenty of room for that too. Adults can treat Portillo like a spa: hire a personal ski trainer, spend a half-hour in the heated pool, get a massage, take a sauna, do half an hour on the treadmill or stair-climber and/or get your hair done.

If you are an adult who prefers to enjoy Portillo with fewer children, we recommend that you do not book a Ski Week during our "Kids Ski Free" promotions.

After the day's activities our adult guests meet each other in the bar or living room for pisco sours, a glass of Chile’s noteworthy wine, a beer or soft drink. Later, our nightlife sizzles with live music in the bar, and late-night dancing in the disco.

In Portillo there are plenty of activities apart from skiing. Often our guests opt to take a day or two off from skiing or snowboarding, and they always find more than enough to occupy their time. We continue to serve pastries and coffee after breakfast, so you can sleep in if you like.

Portillo is a place to socialize, relax, and rejuvenate both mind and body.

Our nightlife is filled with laughter, fun, camaraderie and romance. Adults really enjoy Portillo's nightlife, whether they're single, couples or parents with kids. There's even babysitting service for parents who need a night out alone together. Adults love the magic of our dining room, our bar with live music, the disco, and organized activities planned by our entertainment team.

THE BAR
Portillo's bar is serenaded to the sound of piano music, and later, nightly live music. The ambiance is warm and entertaining, perfect for meeting up with your friends and ordering a pisco sour or Chilean wine. The bar is open from noon to midnight, and is a great alternative for lunch, or to simply relax by the fireplace.

DISCO
The Disco in Portillo opens at 11pm. . . and closes when the last guest leaves! Our DJ plays great music, and some nights the dance floor really gets hot! You'll find another bar here.

Over the years, hundreds of couples have met in Portillo. Couples plan their honeymoon at Portillo, get engaged, and celebrate anniversaries. We have families who have been coming for generations. We also have families who have only recently discovered Portillo and are just beginning the tradition. Each week we wonder whether a new Portillo romance will start yet another family tree.

If you’re single, you might consider coming during one of our Singles Weeks either August 23-30. During this week expect great fun and lots of laughs and a chance to meet someone special. Singles Weeks are for singles of all ages, and the weeks will feature themed parties, classes, and an activity-packed Thursday race day.
