DINNER TANGO SHOW IN BUENOS AIRES

Taconeando, a distinguished King of Tango.
Today, it is a classical pub of Tango.

It was common that, in the former Buenos Aires, carnival dances were a proper scenery for the first performance of tangos. On February 14th in 1931, Pedro Mafia´s orchestra with Horacio Staffolani´s verses did at San Martin Theatre the first performance of a Tango that would become a classical dance: TACONEANDO.

Since then, this king of tango would be the favorite dance for thousands of interpreters, Carlos Gardel made a unique version, Pedro Mafia´s tango continued his successful life, with very valuable versions such as Anibal Troilo´s versions with Roberto Grela. TACONEANDO is a ``tango milonga´´(typical dance from Buenos Aires),strongly rhythmical, special to dance.
The years went by... and tango had its rebirth in San Telmo. On August 15th in 1979 Beba Bidart, a dancer, an actress and a singer, inaugurated her nice pub called TACONEANDO, making of it a place for ``tangueros´´(tango dancers) and lovers of this beautiful and sexy king of music. She brought in some innovation: both the artistic Show and the possibility that the audience could dance.

TACONEANDO is already a classical place in the evening or Buenos Aires a place where the music, the dance and the song bright together by themselves.

THE SHOW
The Show is a retelling of the history of ``tango´´, where the traditional and the modern features are both combined. In the beginning, the dance was only for men, the ``compadritos´´(the show-off men) used the dance in a stone pavement corner of a suburb under the streetlight and with the music of the sprout; little by little women were introduced but they had shelter themselves in marginal neighborhoods, in brothels. The facts that they reached the patio of the tenements houses was considered a great triumph. Long time has passed since then, and today this is a sexy and harmonious dance presented as a triumph on the main stages of the world.
This is a homage to the best compositors and authors of tango of this century, from our great Carlos Gardel up to Astor Piazolla, with this ``Balada para un Loco´´ and `` Libertango´´.

To end up, this is a traditional thing with the presentations of a great tango-singer where the feeling, the interpretation and charisma of our people's idol go together.
To sum up, a kind of dance where our audience will be the star of the night, in the reaffirmation an the remembrance of our dear Beba Bidat, with her charisma and goodness, transformed TACONEANDO into a place for ``tangeros´´ a dancer, which is still in everyone's mind.

DAY 3 - Excursion to a traditional "Estancia" or farm in the Pampas. Meals and Activities included. This excursion is usually called "Fiesta Gaucha"
