WINTER SEASON

During the winter season, one can enjoy the spectacular scenery around Bariloche by taking part in the varied winter sports like: alpine skiing, cross country skiing, rides on snow cats, sledding, snowboarding and paragliding as well as trekking riding through the lower snow covered mountains.

CERRO CATEDRAL
This mountain resort has built up a large infrastructure to provide ample possibilities for Bariloche´s winter season. Well placed refuges, ski schools, restaurants, hotels, shops that sell and rent equipment transport to and from Bariloche make this one of the most important ski resorts of South America.
There is 2.000 hectares (5.000 acres) of ski slopes with 67 Km of trails (30% beginner, 40% intermediate and 25% advanced). The 32 ski lifts (9 ski chairs, 17 teleskis, 2 babylifts and 1 cable car), can carry 20.000 passengers.
There are various important races for the professional or amateurs. Open or with handicap and for different styles such as ski flaps and free style attract national and international competitors. There is also the queen contest and the "Catedral de Oro" award.
The beginners are able to ski on the lower slopes (900 m), half way up (1.200 and 1.400) and at the top of Catedral (1.800 and 2.00 m) Every night the ski trails are kept up in perfect conditions by 12 grommets.

ALTERNATIVE WINTER OPTIONS
The beautiful snow clad mountains invite one to drive around in a four track, sled rides or snowboard down.
Piedras Blancas, not far from town up on Cerro Otto has an area of 15 acres for various winter sport: cross country and sled trails, snowmobiles and a mountain refuge where delicious homemade cakes are served.
The "White Safari" tour will take one up through the Chall Huaco valley, along dirt roads, to the Neumeyer mountain refuge at over 1.200 m a.s.l. Once there, a short trail goes to the Laguna Verde or to a spectacular lookout over the Chall Huaco.
Finally, on the southern slope of Cerro Otto, at 1.240 m, there are cross country ski trails though beautiful forests.




DAY 1 - Arrival to San Carlos de Bariloche Airport and transfer to hotel. 03 nts of accommodation with breakfast

DAY 2 - Excursion called "Circuito Chico" to visit Panoramic Point, Llao Llao, Puerto Pañuelo, Moreno Lake, Cerro Lopez, Colonia Suiza...

DAY 3 - Boat Excursion to visit Isla Victoria and Los Arrayanes National Park.

DAY 4 - Transfer to airport
